I am a qualified nutritionist holding a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine). I work with clients in clinic as well as online.
My role is to help you to reach your health goals through the use of evidence-based diet and lifestyle changes and nutritional supplementation.
I use a holistic approach to support your overall health. This involves reviewing how all of the systems in your body are functioning individually, and as a whole.
Through this holistic approach, we are able to discover underlying causes or contributing factors to your health concerns. Then we can put together an appropriate treatment plan and get you well on your way to achieving optimal health.
Each client receives a unique treatment plan that is tailored specifically to their individual needs.
My passion for health started in the kitchen. I have always been a food lover.
I love eating food. I love cooking food. I love buying food. And of course, I love talking to others about food!
From a young age, I loved helping in the kitchen. As I got older, I began noticing how different foods affected the way I felt, or how I performed in sports. I started to change my diet and eat things that made me feel really good.
After finishing school, I studied outdoor and environmental education and environmental management, things that I am still passionate about and play a big part in my everyday life.
I live on a property in rural NSW where my family and I aim to live a sustainable lifestyle where we grow our own food, power our home from the sun, regenerate the environment that surrounds us and spend time together playing in the creeks and watching the birds.
After the birth of my first daughter, I decided that I wanted to gain a greater knowledge of nutrition. I loved the thought of being able to help others achieve better health. And I had a newfound passion for nourishing myself and my new baby through eating a nutritious diet, breastfeeding and introducing solids to my daughter.
So, I began my Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine degree at Endeavour college in 2014.
During my time studying with Endeavour and after having my second daughter, I qualified as a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA). This stemmed from my own issues with breastfeeding both of my girls and finding fantastic support through ABA.
I now support many mums around Australia with breastfeeding through the National Breastfeeding Helpline as well as in my local area. I am also currently working towards becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in the future.
As a mother of two girls, I am particularly passionate about preconception care, fertility, IVF support, pregnancy health, post-natal health, breastfeeding and paediatric nutrition.
