Chickpea Flour Pizza Base

These chickpea flour pizza bases are delicious, high in protein and gluten free. You can top with any of your favourite pizza ingredients and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chickpea flour

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 tbsp olive oil (plus more for cooking)

  • salt and pepper

  • pizza toppings of choice

Method:

  1. Whisk together flour, water, oil, salt and pepper until well combined.

  2. Cover and allow to rest for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the fridge

  3. Preheat oven to 210 degrees celsius

  4. Oil a medium sized pan well and pour half of the batter into the pan, spreading evenly to the edges

  5. Cook pizza base on first side until bubbles appear and the batter has set on top

  6. Flip and cook on other side, then set aside

  7. Repeat with remaining batter

  8. Top your pizza bases with ingredients of choice and place on a tray in preheated oven for around 15-20 minutes or until well cooked.
